The Des Arc Eagles basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Palestine-Wheatley Patriots to 29 in the Eagles league triumph on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host McCrory for a 2A Region 6 contest on Wednesday, January 11. Des Arc will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 45-39 league win over Hazen (Hazen, AR). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-5.
The Patriots (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Carlisle (Carlisle, AR). The Bison enter the 2A Region 6 contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Carlisle was defeated by Barton (Lexa, AR), 70-62, in a league contest.
