In Saturday's league outing, the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies (Brooklyn, MS) basketball squad nipped the visiting Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS), by a margin of 64-58.

The Aggies (13-2) will now prepare for their outing against Poplarville (Poplarville, MS). The Hornets go into the 4A Region 7 outing with a 0-8 record. In their last outing, Poplarville was tipped by Purvis (Purvis, MS), 48-16, in a league outing.

The Cougars now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sumrall for a 4A Region 7 outing on Tuesday, January 10. Lawrence County will clash with a Bobcats squad coming off a 54-25 non-league win over Salem (Tylertown, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 9-5.
