Frederica Academy (St. Simons Island, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Southside Christian Patriots (Waycross, GA), 54-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Frederica Academy upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The travel to Hilton Head Christian Academy (Hilton Head Island, SC) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 13-2. Hilton Head Christian Academy won 52-48 in their recent non-league bout against Calvary Day (Savannah, GA)

Next up, the Patriots play the Gainesville Christian Community Warriors (Gainesville, FL) in a Southeastern Christian bout, on Saturday, January 7. Southside Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 92-50 league win over First Christian (High Springs, FL).
