The Janesville Craig Cougars basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Madison Memorial Spartans to 48 in the Cougars league victory on Saturday.
The Cougars now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Madison East for a Big Eight contest on Saturday, January 14. Janesville Craig will battle a Purgolders team coming off a 75-73 league win over Sun Prairie West (Sun Prairie, WI). The Purgolders record now stands at 3-4.
The Spartans (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Madison West (Madison, WI). The Regents come into the Big Eight contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Madison West prevailed over Janesville Parker (Janesville, WI), 77-70, in a league contest.
