The Screven County Gamecocks basketball team (Sylvania, GA), dropped 51-39 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Jefferson County Warriors (Louisville, GA)
The Warriors now sport a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bleckley County for a A D1 Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Jefferson County will battle a Royals team coming off a 53-38 non-league win over Worth County (Sylvester, GA). The Royals record now stands at 6-7.
The Gamecocks (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Woodville-Tompkins (Savannah, GA). The Wolverines come into the A D1 Region 3 battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Woodville-Tompkins dropped by Bell Creek Academy (Riverview, FL), 67-49, in a non-league battle.
