Georgia High School Basketball - Stephens County can't hold off Madison County

The Stephens County Indians basketball team (Toccoa, GA), was nudged 64-62 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Madison County Red Raiders (Danielsville, GA)
The Red Raiders now possess a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cedar Shoals for a AAAA Region 8B battle on Tuesday, January 10. Madison County will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 72-56 non-league loss to Tucker (Tucker, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-12.
The Indians (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Franklin County (Carnesville, GA). The Lions come into the AAA Region 8 battle with a 5-10 record. In their last battle, Franklin County was nudged by Chestatee (Gainesville, GA), 70-68, in a non-league battle.
