Florida High School Basketball - Mitchell over River Ridge

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) and the visiting River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL), saw Mitchell's basketball squad overcome River Ridge by a tally of 78-61.

With the victory, Mitchell improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Anclote (Holiday, FL) to confront the Sharks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Sharks come into the challenge with a record of 2-9.

Next up, the Royal Knights confront the IMG Academy Silver Ascenders (Bradenton, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. River Ridge will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record. The Ascenders come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 55-40 non-league loss to Cypress Lake (Fort Myers, FL).
