Nevada High School Basketball - Battle Mountain edges Yerington

The Battle Mountain Longhorns (Battle Mountain, NV) basketball nipped the visiting Yerington Lions (Yerington, NV), 28-25 in Saturday's league test.

The Longhorns (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Incline (Incline Village, NV). The Highlanders go into the 2A Northern test with a 2-4 record.

The Lions now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Silver Stage for a 2A Northern test on Tuesday, January 10. Yerington will encounter a Nighthawks squad coming off a 53-10 league loss to West Wendover (West Wendover, NV). The Nighthawks record now stands at 1-4.
