The Tikigaq Harpooners (Point Hope, AK) basketball crushed the visiting Buckland Belugas (Buckland, AK), 70-11 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Harpooners (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Metlakatla (Metlakatla, AK). The Chiefs go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Metlakatla was trounced by Craig (Craig, AK), 43-41, in a league test.
The Belugas now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Napaaqtugmiut for a 1A Northwest Arctic test on Friday, January 13.
