In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Central Chargers basketball team scored a decisive 58-23 triumph over the Westside Seminoles.
In their next game, the Chargers meet the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) in a AA Region 2 match, on Tuesday, January 10. Central will attempt to move on its 13-1 season record. The Gryphons enter the game with a 9-3 record after their 55-26 league win over Kendrick (Columbus, GA).
With the defeat, Westside moves to 4-12 on the year. The Seminoles host Spalding (Griffin, GA) to face the Jaguars in a AAAA Region 2 game on Friday, January 13. The Jaguars enter the game with a record of 6-9. Spalding lost 70-43 in their recent non-league game against Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA)
