Cony Rams (Augusta, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Nokomis Warriors (Newport, ME), 53-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Cony upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Rams host Skowhegan (Skowhegan, ME) to clash with the River Hawks in a A North bout on Tuesday, January 10. The River Hawks go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Skowhegan lost 53-35 in their recent league bout against Camden Hills (Rockport, ME)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME) in a A North bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Nokomis will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 81-48 league win over Brewer (Brewer, ME).
