Varnum Whippets (Seminole, OK) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Coyle Bluejackets (Coyle, OK), 72-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Varnum upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Whippets travel to Macomb (Macomb, OK) to play the Hornets in a Little River bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 1-4.

Next up, the Bluejackets play the Carney Bulldogs (Carney, OK) in a Cimarron Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Coyle will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 71-50 non-league loss to Coyle (Coyle, OK).
