Alaska High School Basketball - Metlakatla can't hold off Craig

The Craig Panthers basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Metlakatla Chiefs to 41 in the Panthers league triumph on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Petersburg for a non-league contest on Friday, January 13. Craig will battle a Vikings team coming off a 34-23 league loss to Haines (Haines, AK). The Vikings record now stands at 0-4.
The Chiefs (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Tikigaq (Point Hope, AK). The Harpooners come into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Tikigaq got by Justin Garza (Fresno, CA), 50-30, in a non-league test.
