In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting East Laurens Falcons basketball team scored a good 55-39 triumph over the Johnson County Trojans.

In their next game, the Falcons face the Jefferson County Warriors (Louisville, GA) in a A D1 Region 2 match, on Friday, January 13. East Laurens will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 3-9 record after their 55-34 league loss to Bleckley County (Cochran, GA).

With the defeat, Johnson County moves to 2-4 on the year. The Trojans host Glascock County (Gibson, GA) to face the Panthers in a A D2 Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 10. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 2-7. Glascock County lost 55-35 in their recent non-league match against Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA)
