Franklin Panthers (Los Angeles, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Sun Valley Magnet Pioneers (Sun Valley, CA), 61-9 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Franklin upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Panthers host Marshall (Los Angeles, CA) to clash with the Barristers in a Northern bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Barristers go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Marshall won 64-30 in their recent non-league bout against Serra (Gardena, CA)

Next up, the Pioneers clash with the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars (Lake Balboa, CA) in a Central Valley bout, on Monday, January 9. Sun Valley Magnet will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 36-9 non-league loss to Marymount (Los Angeles, CA).
