Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wilcox Chargers (Santa Clara, CA), 48-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Fremont upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Firebirds travel to Gunn (Palo Alto, CA) to play the Titans in a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 2-6.

Next up, the Chargers play the Santa Clara Bruins (Santa Clara, CA) in a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Wilcox will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 39-36 league loss to Milpitas (Milpitas, CA).
