The Leetonia Bears basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Heartland Christian Lions to 20 in the Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bears now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southern for a Eastern Ohio contest on Monday, January 9. Leetonia will battle a Indians team coming off a 37-17 non-league win over Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH). The Indians record now stands at 5-1.

The Lions (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against East Palestine (East Palestine, OH). The Bulldogs enter the non-league game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, East Palestine was ripped by Columbiana (Columbiana, OH), 56-21, in a league game.
