Illini West Chargers (Carthage, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Rushville-Industry Rockets (Rushville, IL), 46-17 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Illini West upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Chargers travel to Astoria/VIT (Astoria, IL) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Astoria/VIT lost 56-23 in their recent non-league bout against Lewistown (Lewistown, IL)

Next up, the Rockets clash with the Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Rushville-Industry will attempt to upgrade on its 2-20 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 16-2 record after their 52-11 league win over North Greene (White Hall, IL).
