Maine High School Basketball - Van Buren ripped by Katahdin

The Katahdin Cougars basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Van Buren Crusaders to 32 in the Cougars league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hodgdon for a non-league contest on Monday, January 9. Katahdin will battle a Hawks team coming off a 47-46 non-league win over Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 8-0.
The Crusaders (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Madawaska (Madawaska, ME). The Owls enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Madawaska triumphed over Easton (Easton, ME), 25-18, in a non-league contest.
