The Mendon Unity Mustangs basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting Liberty Eagles to 21 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central/Southeastern for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10. Mendon Unity will battle a Panthers team coming off a 50-39 non-league win over Lewistown (Lewistown, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 15-2.

The Eagles (5-17) will now prepare for their contest against Lewistown (Lewistown, IL). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Lewistown was routed by Central/Southeastern (Camp Point, IL), 50-39, in a non-league contest.
