The Pettisville Blackbirds basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Montpelier Locomotives to 27 in the Blackbirds league triumph on Saturday.

The Blackbirds now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ottawa Hills for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10.

The Locomotives (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty Center (Liberty Center, OH). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Liberty Center ran past Wauseon (Wauseon, OH), 51-28, in a league contest.
