The Parry McCluer Fighting Blues routed the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 47-24 in Saturday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Fighting Blues face the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 10. Parry McCluer will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Governors come into the battle with a 2-6 record after their 50-49 league win over Dan River (Ringgold, VA).

The Wildcats (1-11) will now prepare for their battle against Riverheads (Staunton, VA). The Gladiators come into the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Riverheads was overwhelmed by Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA), 71-47, in a non-league battle.
