The Stigler Panthers basketball team (Stigler, OK), was nudged 49-47 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Sallisaw Black Diamonds (Sallisaw, OK)
The Black Diamonds now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Checotah for a NOAA battle on Tuesday, January 10.
The Panthers (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Pocola (Pocola, OK). The Indians come into the Black Diamond battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Pocola edged Talihina (Talihina, OK), 54-19, in a league battle.
