The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL) and the host Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans (Woodhull, IL), observed Abingdon/Avon's basketball team overcome Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] by a score of 68-53.

The Tornadoes (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Flying Geese come into the Lincoln Trail challenge with a 4-11 record. In their last challenge, Wethersfield dropped by Annawan (Annawan, IL), 58-34, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL) in a Lincoln Trail challenge, on Friday, January 10. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Princes come into the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 54-47 non-league win over Brimfield (Brimfield, IL).
