The Wood River Eagles basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Amherst Broncos to 43 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Arcadia/Loup City for a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. Wood River will confront a Rebels team coming off a 59-55 non-league win over Bertrand (Bertrand, NE). The Rebels record now stands at 4-5.
