With the victory, Newton upgrades its record to 11-4 on the year. The Rams travel to Grayson (Loganville, GA) to face the Rams in a AAAAAA Region 4 match on Friday, January 10. The Rams enter the match with a record of 14-1. Grayson won 70-44 in their recent league match against South Gwinnett (Snellville, GA)

The Tigers now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heritage for a AAAAAA Region 4 match on Thursday, January 9. Archer will face a Patriots squad coming off a 65-61 non-league loss to Morrow (Morrow, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 7-7.
