Alabama High School Basketball - Barbour County bests Ariton

The Barbour County Jaguars (Clayton, AL) basketball toppled the host Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL), 58-44 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Jaguars now possess a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Goshen for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. Barbour County will play a Eagles team coming off a 60-31 league loss to Luverne (Luverne, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Ariton falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Purple cats travel to Long (Skipperville, AL) to play the Rebels in a 2A Area 4 bout on Friday, January 10. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Long lost 58-43 in their recent league bout against Abbeville (Abbeville, AL)
