Alabama High School Basketball - McKenzie nips Brantley

In Tuesday's league contest, the host McKenzie Tigers basketball team scored a close 51-48 win over the Brantley Bulldogs.

The Tigers (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Elba (Elba, AL). The Tigers come into the 1A Area 2 battle with a 1-7 record. In their last battle, Elba was nudged by Ariton (Ariton, AL), 75-41, in a non-league battle.

The Bulldogs now own a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Georgiana for a 1A Area 3 battle on Thursday, January 9. Brantley will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 68-41 league win over Red Level (Red Level, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 12-4.
