The Covington Chargers (Covington, TN) basketball edged the visiting Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN), 62-59 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Chargers now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Raleigh-Egypt for a 3A District 15 bout on Friday, January 10. Covington will play a Pharaohs team coming off a 64-55 league loss to Millington Central (Millington, TN). The Pharaohs record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, Brighton falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Craigmont (Memphis, TN) to play the Chiefs in a 3A District 15 bout on Friday, January 10. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 2-6.
