With the victory, Palmer advances its record to 10-6 on the year. The Dragons host Ingomar (New Albany, MS) to meet the Falcons in a 2A Region 2 match on Tuesday, January 14. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 15-7. Ingomar won 53-44 in their recent non-league match against East Union (Blue Springs, MS)

The Wildcats now own a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bruce for a 2A Region 2 match on Thursday, January 9. Calhoun City will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 67-65 non-league loss to Okolona (Okolona, MS). The Trojans record now stands at 2-13.
