The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) and the visiting Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), observed Calhoun County's basketball team overwhelm Quitman County by a margin of 91-28.

The Cougars (12-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA). The Panthers come into the A D2 Region 1 challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge, Pataula Charter Academy was trounced by Early County (Blakely, GA), 66-10, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Pelham Hornets (Pelham, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Quitman County will attempt to better on its 4-10 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 64-48 league loss to Mitchell County (Camilla, GA).
