The Lumpkin County Indians basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Chestatee War Eagles to 36 in the Indians league triumph on Tuesday.

The Indians now have a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to North Hall for a AAA Region 6 game on Thursday, January 9. Lumpkin County will confront a Trojans team coming off a 92-64 league win over Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Chestatee falls to 2-14 on the campaign. The War eagles host Johnson (Gainesville, GA) to confront the Knights in a AAA Region 6 game on Friday, January 10. The Knights go into the game with a record of 1-11. Johnson lost 87-30 in their recent league game against Pickens (Jasper, GA)
