In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Creston Panthers basketball team scored a good 70-55 triumph over the Clarinda Cardinals.

The Panthers (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA). The Monarchs go into the Hawkeye Ten contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Denison-Schleswig was toppled by Red Oak (Red Oak, IA), 65-60, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cardinals confront the Lewis Central Titans (Council Bluffs, IA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Clarinda will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Titans go into the contest with a 5-3 record after their 54-42 league win over Harlan (Harlan, IA).
