The Cortez Colts basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Coronado Dons to 24 in the Colts league triumph on Tuesday.

The Colts now have a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Tempe for a 4A Black Canyon game on Thursday, January 9. Cortez will confront a Buffaloes team coming off a 62-47 league loss to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Buffaloes record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Coronado falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Dons host Yuma (Yuma, AZ) to confront the Criminals in a 4A Black Canyon game on Thursday, January 9. The Criminals go into the game with a record of 4-3. Yuma won 92-61 in their recent league game against Desert Sunrise (Maricopa, AZ)
