Ohio High School Basketball - Coventry can't hold off Norton

January 7, 2025: Norton, OH 44203

Norton Panthers (Norton, OH) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Coventry Comets (Akron, OH), 54-50 in a league match.

With the victory, Norton advances its record to 5-5 on the year. The Panthers host Buckeye (Medina, OH) to face the Bucks in a non-league match on Monday, January 13. The Bucks enter the match with a record of 6-3.

The Comets now own a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake for a non-league match on Friday, January 10. Coventry will face a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 39-28 league loss to GlenOak (Canton, OH). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 2-8.
