Georgia High School Basketball - Sumter County nips Crisp County

January 7, 2025: Americus, GA 31709

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Sumter County Panthers basketball team scored a close 53-46 win over the Crisp County Cougars.

The Panthers (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Kendrick (Columbus, GA). The Cherokees come into the AA Region 1 contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Kendrick was tipped by Spencer (Columbus, GA), 73-55, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) in a AA Region 3 contest, on Friday, January 10. Crisp County will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Bears come into the contest with a 3-9 record after their 72-68 league loss to Cook (Adel, GA).
