The Lobos (8-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX). The Mustangs come into the 6A Region II District 16 challenge with a 14-10 record. In their last challenge, Cypress Ranch defeated Bridgeland (Cypress, TX), 53-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX) in a 6A Region II District 16 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Cypress Lakes will attempt to better on its 12-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 17-8 record after their 83-53 league win over Waller (Waller, TX).
