The Hornets (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Southside (Selma, AL). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Southside was knocked off by Georgiana (Georgiana, AL), 60-46, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Montgomery Academy Eagles (Montgomery, AL) in a 3A Area 5 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Saint James will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 17-2 record after their 67-29 league win over Alabama Christian Academy (Montgomery, AL).
