Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Duncan Demons (Duncan, OK), 52-37 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Elgin advances its record to 2-5 on the year. The Owls host Noble (Noble, OK) to face the Bears in a 5A District 1 match on Tuesday, January 14. The Bears enter the match with a record of 4-5.

The Demons now own a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marshall for a 5A District 2 match on Tuesday, January 14. Duncan will face a Bears squad coming off a 74-45 non-league win over Star-Spencer (Spencer, OK). The Bears record now stands at 6-2.
