The Fayetteville Academy Eagles basketball team scored 85 points and limited the visiting Rocky Mount Academy Eagles to 40 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now have a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Kerr-Vance Academy for a NCISAA Carolina Independent game on Wednesday, January 8. Fayetteville Academy will confront a Spartans team coming off a 43-27 non-league win over Neuse Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Rocky Mount Academy falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Kerr-Vance Academy (Henderson, NC) to confront the Spartans in a NCISAA Carolina Independent game on Friday, January 10. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 2-12. Kerr-Vance Academy lost 94-19 in their recent league game against Fayetteville Academy (Fayetteville, NC)
