In Tuesday's non-league test, the Sibley East Wolverines (Arlington, MN) basketball squad trounced the host Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds (Winthrop, MN), by a score of 65-43.

Next, the Wolverines encounter the St. Clair Cyclones (St. Clair, MN) in a AA Section 2 test, on Friday, January 10. Sibley East will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Cyclones come into the test with a 5-6 record after their 82-44 league loss to Waseca (Waseca, MN).

The Thunderbirds (3-7) will now prepare for their test against New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN). The Greyhounds come into the A Section 2 test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, New Ulm Cathedral was routed by Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN), 83-37, in a league test.
