In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Pine Island Panthers basketball team scored a good 83-71 triumph over the Goodhue Wildcats.
The Panthers (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lewiston-Altura (Lewiston, MN). The Cardinals go into the AA Section 1 contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Lewiston-Altura was topped by Cotter (Winona, MN), 54-50, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Bethlehem Academy Cardinals (Faribault, MN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 9. Goodhue will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record.
