The Gordo Green Wave basketball squad (Gordo, AL), was nudged 45-42 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL)
With the victory, South Lamar advances its record to 10-10 on the year. The Stallions host Lamar County (Vernon, AL) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 2-17. Lamar County lost 78-55 in their recent league battle against Red Bay (Red Bay, AL)
The Green Wave now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oakman for a 3A Area 10 battle on Thursday, January 9. Gordo will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 31-29 league win over Winfield (Winfield, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-8.
