Next, the Mustangs encounter the Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions (Lubbock, TX) in a TAPPS 2A District 1 test, on Friday, January 10. Holy Cross Catholic Academy will attempt to improve on its 18-2 season record. The Golden Lions come into the test with a 9-5 record after their 50-44 league win over Southcrest Christian (Lubbock, TX).

The Patriots (9-13) will now prepare for their test against Kingdom Prep Academy (Lubbock, TX). The Warriors come into the TAPPS 2A District 1 test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Kingdom Prep Academy bounced Holy Cross (Midland, TX), 67-15, in a league test.
