The Irmo Yellow Jackets bounced the visiting Newberry Bulldogs basketball squad by a final score of 79-52 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

Next, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Lexington Wildcats (Lexington, SC) in a AAAAA Region 4 outing, on Friday, January 10. Irmo will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the outing with a 4-8 record after their 60-49 non-league loss to Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC).

The Bulldogs (6-9) will now prepare for their outing against Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC). The Griffins come into the non-league outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Fairfield Central was overwhelmed by North Charleston (North Charleston, SC), 45-22, in a non-league outing.
