The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Judson Rockets (Converse, TX) and the host San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX), observed Judson's basketball team knock off San Marcos by a score of 61-46.

The Rockets (9-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Canyon (New Braunfels, TX). The Cougars come into the 6A Region IV District 29 challenge with a 11-15 record. In their last game, Canyon was beaten by East Central (San Antonio, TX), 74-60, in a league game.

With the loss, San Marcos falls to 15-12 on the campaign. The Rattlers travel to Steele (Cibolo, TX) to play the Knights in a 6A Region IV District 29 game on Friday, January 10. The Knights go into the game with a record of 22-2. Steele won 75-59 in their recent non-league game against Davenport (San Antonio, TX)
