The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Thomson Bulldogs (Thomson, GA) and the visiting Laney Wildcats (Augusta, GA), observed Thomson's basketball team edge Laney by a score of 61-59.

The Bulldogs (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA). The Bears come into the AA Region 4 challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Burke County edged Glenn Hills (Augusta, GA), 65-40, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Josey Eagles (Augusta, GA) in a AA Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Laney will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record.
