The Metamora Redbirds basketball team scored 77 points and limited the visiting Limestone Rockets to 44 in the Redbirds league triumph on Tuesday.

The Redbirds now have a 15-3 record. They play next when they host East Peoria for a Mid-Illini game on Saturday, January 11. Metamora will confront a Raiders team coming off a 76-49 league loss to Morton (Morton, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 11-3.

With the loss, Limestone falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Rockets host Richwoods (Peoria, IL) to confront the Knights in a non-league game on Friday, January 10. The Knights go into the game with a record of 7-7. Richwoods lost 52-40 in their recent non-league game against Manual (Peoria, IL)
