The Mahanoy Area Golden Bears were victorious over the visiting Pottsville Crimson Tide basketball squad by a final score of 62-47 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Golden Bears clash with the Blue Mountain Eagles (Schuylkill Haven, PA) in a Schuylkill County 1 outing, on Thursday, January 9. Mahanoy Area will attempt to upgrade on its 12-0 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 4-3 record after their 63-54 non-league win over Exeter Township (Reading, PA).
