The Melissa Cardinals basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host McKinney North Bulldogs to 45 in the Cardinals league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now have a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Walnut Grove for a 5A Region II District 9 game on Friday, January 10. Melissa will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 60-46 league win over Anna (Anna, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 19-7.

With the loss, McKinney North falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Greenville (Greenville, TX) to confront the Lions in a 5A Region II District 9 game on Saturday, January 11. The Lions go into the game with a record of 13-11. Greenville lost 69-47 in their recent league game against Lovejoy (Lucas, TX)
